The mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) is a critically endangered subspecies found in the Virunga Massif and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda, as well as neighboring Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. With fewer than 1,000 individuals remaining, encountering these majestic creatures is a rare privilege.
Each gorilla family has its unique dynamics, behaviors, and personalities. You’ll witness awe-inspiring encounters with these gentle giants, led by dominant silverbacks and surrounded by adult females, young gorillas, and infants.

You will be picked by our experienced guide on arrival at the airport and be briefed about the trip and then proceed to the Hotel/lodge in Entebbe. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will set off heading to Murchison falls through the beautiful countryside in the districts of Luwero and Nakasongola. You will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola to catchup with the rhinos and other wildlife like primates and antelopes. Rare bird species like the shoebill stork will also be spotted in the swamp as you ride on a wooden boat. Have lunch and proceed to Murchison falls National Park arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
After breakfast at the lodge, you will drive off to the park with your guide and embark on a game viewing moment. Murchison is one of Uganda’s largest parks and harbors a number of wildlife species like the giraffes, elephants, waterbucks, leopards, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, and warthogs among other wildlife species. Our guides are experienced and will ensure to take you to the best game viewing spots and this amazing experience, you retire at the lodge for lunch. Launch a boat cruise in the afternoon to the bottom of the falls to watch the mighty falls as the Nile forces its way through a 5-meter gorge before exploding to the bottom. Nile crocodiles and hippos are seen swimming and resting at the shores. Other wildlife like the buffaloes and elephants are seen at the Nile catching a drink. Return to the lodge after this amazing experience for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Begin your day with a serene morning meal, savoring the tranquil ambiance of Murchison Falls Park. Relish the final cherished moments in this natural haven before you depart. Proceed with the checkout formalities and embark on a journey to Kibale Forest National Park, renowned as the primate capital of Africa. Anticipate the enchanting encounters that await amidst the lush greenery and diverse wildlife.
After an early morning cup of strong Uganda Robusta/Arabica coffee, carry your packed lunch and transfer to Kanyanchu visitor information Centre for briefing and registration, The chimpanzee trekking experience begins at 8:00m and can be as short as 30 minutes or last for over 5 hours depending on your speed of hiking and the location of chimpanzees. The park also shelters other primates such as Black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, red tailed monkeys, baboons and grey cheeked mangabeys among others. In the afternoon, for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland which shelters several birds, primates and other ground animals. Dinner and overnight at your lodge
Today marks a significant day as we embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, renowned for harboring the highest population of mountain gorillas globally. The morning begins with a hearty breakfast, fueling us for the day ahead. After checking out, we set off on the drive to this majestic sanctuary, anticipation building with every mile. Nestled in the heart of Uganda, Bwindi is not just a haven for gorillas but a biodiversity hotspot, teeming with unique flora and fauna. As we traverse the winding roads, the forest’s dense canopy unfurls before us, a tapestry of green that promises an unforgettable encounter with these gentle giants of the forest.”
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, pack your lunch and head to the Bwindi Forest’s park headquarters for registration and a pre-gorilla trekking briefing. You will be assigned to one of the 21 gorilla families in Bwindi Forest for your trek. At 8:00 am, begin your uphill hike in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. This challenging trek can take anywhere from 2 to 7 hours, but there is a 90% chance of encountering the gorillas at the end of your journey. Once you find them, you will have the opportunity to spend an hour with these majestic creatures. Take photos, record videos, and savor this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Later in the evening, transfer to African Tent resort on Lake Bunyonyi for dinner and an overnight stay.
Wake up to the rhythmic chirps and sounds of beautiful birds and enjoy breakfast on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s second deepest lake and one of the places where the Holywood blockbuster “Wakanda” was shot. Check out and depart. You can choose to either drive to Kigali International Airport, Rwanda or transfer back to Entebbe International Airport for your connecting flight to your next destination.
