The reserve boasts a vast array of wildlife, including the Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos. It is also the stage for the Great Wildebeest Migration, the planet’s most extraordinary wildlife event, where over two million wildebeests, along with zebras and gazelles, inundate the plains from July to October.
The second stop on this 5-day Amboseli and Masai Mara Wildlife Safari is Amboseli National Park. Known as the land of giants, it is famous for its large elephant herds. The park also boasts breathtaking scenery, crowned by the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro – Africa’s highest mountain and the world’s tallest free-standing mountain.

Begin your adventure in Nairobi, with a hearty breakfast at your hotel or upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where our representative will greet you. You’ll then embark on a scenic drive to Amboseli National Park via the Mombasa Road. Upon arrival, enjoy a timely lunch before setting off on a thrilling game drive to witness a variety of wildlife, including vast herds of elephants, lions, leopards, elands, and warthogs.
After an eventful day, retreat to the comfort of your lodge for a sumptuous dinner and a restful overnight stay.
Your accommodation will be at the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, where you’ll be treated to lunch and dinner as part of your meal plan.
The journey to the park is approximately 4 hours by road, or a swift 35-minute flight can be arranged as per your schedule.
Begin your day with an early breakfast at the lodge before embarking on a full-day game drive, complete with a packed lunch to enjoy at a scenic picnic spot within the park amidst the free-roaming wildlife.
Throughout your park exploration, be on the lookout for an array of animals including cape buffaloes, impalas, lions, expansive herds of elephants, spotted hyenas, Masai giraffes, Grant’s zebras, wildebeests, and cheetahs.
As the day winds down, you’ll return to the lodge for a relaxing dinner and an overnight stay.

Following a delightful breakfast, your journey to the Masai Mara National Reserve begins. As you descend the escarpment via Narok, the expansive landscape unfolds before you. A stopover at the viewpoint allows for a moment to take in the breathtaking escarpment vistas.
Upon arrival at the reserve, you’ll check into your lodge for a leisurely lunch and some relaxation. Later, an evening game drive awaits, offering a chance to explore the vast plains of the Masai Mara. Afterward, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Following breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive in the reserve, complete with a packed lunch for a picnic along the banks of the Mara River.
As you traverse the expansive savannah grasslands and undulating hills, anticipate encounters with a diverse array of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, olive baboons, Thomson’s gazelles, impalas, topis, and spotted hyenas, to name a few.
For an alternative experience, consider a Hot Air Balloon safari. Soar above the vast plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve and relish the panoramic views of the wildlife below.
Following breakfast, embark on a morning game drive while departing the reserve, en route to Nairobi. You will reach Nairobi in time for lunch, after which you will be transferred to the airport to catch your departure flight home or to your next destination.
