You will be welcomed by our trusted Zanzibar Partners, Lulu Tours and Travel who will receive and welcome you to Zanzibar with a short briefing about the details of your trip and transfer You to Jafferji House, a cozy boutique hotel situated at the heart of this historical Swahili Island where you will Check in to your hotel accommodation and freshen up. After you have had your lunch and refreshments, you will spend the rest of the afternoon on a guided walk around the narrow streets of the historical Stone Town, admiring the Swahili architecture, visiting the markets, and learning about the history and culture of the friendly and welcoming people of Zanzibar. You shall then enjoy a sunset cruise on a traditional dhow boat, and thereafter, you shall be transferred back to your hotel for dinner, relaxation and overnight.
Wake up to the beautiful Indian Ocean sunrise, have your breakfast, and gear up for a guided tour of Stone Town, taking you to some of the main attractions such as the House of Wonders, a historic building that was built in 1883 by Sultan Barghash bin Said as a ceremonial palace and official reception hall. It was the first building in East Africa to have electricity and an elevator, and it combined elements of European and Swahili architecture. It is now a museum of Zanzibari history and culture. Your guide shall then take you to the Palace Museum which is also known as the Sultan’s Palace or Beit al-Sahel, is a historical building in Stone Town, Zanzibar. It was the official residence of the Zanzibar Sultanate from the 19th century until the 1964 revolution, when the last sultan was overthrown. It is now a museum that displays the history and culture of the Zanzibar Sultanate and its royal family and is among the best historical sites where you can learn more about the Swahili connection with the Omani Sultanate that once dominated the Swahili coast.
You shall then be taken to a local restaurant to enjoy a Swahili cuisine lunch and relax a bit before heading back to your hotel for some free time and shop for souvenirs in a local market before heading back to your hotel
Enjoy a laid-back evening party vibe at the beach as you or watch a cultural music performance showcasing music and dance of Zanzibar
After you have had your breakfast, you shall be picked up by your guide who shall take you on a 1 and half hour drive for a water sports adventure on Pwani Mchangani beach where you will enjoy Parasailing and jet skiing as you soar above the water and get a bird’s eye view of the island and zoom across the waves and feel the adrenaline rush. This a parasailing and jet skiing session shall take place at Zanzibar Extreme Water Sports center on Pwani Mchangani Beach. (The cost of renting the water sports gear and other related fees is not included in the total cost for this tour and will set you back about 250 USD).
After your water sports adventure, you shall have your lunch and be transferred back to your Hotel in Stone Town for an evening of relaxation and a night of Partying, Zanzibari style!
Day 4: Optional day trip to Jozani Forest or Prison Island
After breakfast, you can either spend the day at your Hotel or join an optional day trip to Jozani Forest or Prison Island.
Jozani Forest is a national park that is home to the endemic red colobus monkeys, as well as other wildlife, such as bush babies, duikers, and butterflies. You can take a guided walk through the forest and see the monkeys up close, as well as visit the mangrove swamp and the butterfly center.
Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island, is a former quarantine station and prison that is now a popular tourist attraction. You can take a boat ride to the island and see the giant tortoises that live there, as well as snorkel in the coral reef and explore the ruins of the prison.
After the day trip, return to your Hotel and have dinner.
After breakfast, check out of your resort and take a taxi or shuttle to the airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.
