This 2 Days Murchison Falls getaway safari takes you to Murchison Falls National Park, the largest and oldest park in Uganda. The Nile River flows through the park, rushing through a 7-meter narrow gorge, creating the famous Murchison Falls. While in the park, gaze in wonder at the herds of giraffes, elephants, pride of lions, and antelopes. You have an opportunity to go on a launch trip on Victoria Nile, where you will look out for the Nile crocodiles basking in the sun and pods of hippos.

Today, start the journey to Murchison Falls National Park at 6:00am to have ample time in the park. You will drive directly to the park with a brief stopover at the top of the Murchison Falls. After the stop, you proceed for lunch and later for a boat safari on the Nile River, from where you watch different animals along the shore, both those that live in the water and those coming to drink. The boat ride takes you about 10 meters from the bottom of Murchison Falls, also known as the “Devil’s Cauldron”, before returning to the starting point. Your driver guide will pick you up and, after a short evening game drive (if you are staying on the northern bank of the river); otherwise, you will transfer immediately to the southern bank because of ferry crossing times.
On this day, have breakfast and take pleasure in a morning game drive towards the White Nile to experience plenty of wildlife and bird sightings. Along the way, look out for herds of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, the Uganda kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, and several bird species. Check out from the accommodation and drive back to Kampala for a drop-off. You will have lots of memories to cherish on your way home!
